Pregnancy is just like a crossword puzzle. It involves a lot of changes in her physical and emotional health. In fact, it is very difficult to discern the positive signs of pregnancy. In fact, there are three stages of  different signs and symptoms of pregnancy. Among the different signs are presumptive, probably, and positive; these are explained further here to let every mother recognizes on how to deal with it especially if they imply pregnancy.

What are the symptoms of pregnancy?

1. Presumptive. The symptoms indicated in here are almost the same with the positive signs of pregnancy. However, these are not exact measurements to confirm that the woman is pregnant since there are lots of women may as well experienced these signs. The presumptive signs may consist of:

  • Amenorrhea – no menstrual cycle on the particular month.
  • Nausea and Vomiting – these are the symptoms of morning sickness because of the imbalances of the hormones in the body of the pregnant woman.
  • Frequent Urination -there would be increased output of urine due to the changes in the level of hormones.
  • Fatigue – the woman’s body works twice from its normal activity and it consumes much energy due to the fetal development.
  • Changes in Skin, Breast, and Genitalia -  hormone levels may increased during pregnancy period. The pregnant women would certainly notice enlargement of their breasts and may experienced dry and flaky skin.

2. Probable. This is not the conclusive of pregnancy but these are relatively close to the positive signs. But in a few cases these probable symptoms of pregnancy might lead to negative result due to some reasons. In fact, the pregnancy test is not always precise. Enlarged abdomen can be one of the probable pregnancy signs but there are  a few medical conditions which are associated with the abdominal enlargement such as liver cirrhosis, presence of gall stones, uterine fibroids, H-mole, ovarian cyst, and etc.

3. Positive. This is the conclusive and 100% sure signs and symptoms of pregnancy. Additionally, these are not affected by the signs mentioned earlier. One clear sign of pregnancy is the fetal heartbeat. This can be heard with the use of a Doppler and can be seen with the use of imaging tests like the ultrasound.

Gaining information from the different symptoms of pregnancy is very much important to the pregnant woman for her to deal with it. Nevertheless, a healthy diet, regular exercises and good hydration will help the pregnant woman minimizes the havoc of the symptoms on her body.
